Your Privacy is important to us. That is why we process your information exclusively in our data centers located in Germany and governed by strict German Data Privacy Laws. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to learn how we collect and process information when you visit our website (the "Website") and when you use the HiDrive Service (the "Service").

1. Data we Collect and Store

Personal information: We collect, store and process information you provide when subscribing to the Service, such as your email address, name, postal address and billing information.

Data stored by you: We collect, store and process data you or users under your account store on the Service. Please note that we store copies of your data on our backup systems.

Log data: When you visit the Website or use the Service we will automatically create log data. This may include but isn't limited to your subscription and login to the Service, uploading and downloading of data, the upgrade or termination of your account. Log data may include the Internet Protocol ("IP") address of the device you're using to access the Service, the browser type the device is using, the web page visited before the Website, date and time stamps and the system configuration of your device. We store personal log data only to the extent necessary to provide the Service and, beyond that, only to prove your subscription and termination of the Service. We will anonymize or delete all other log data.

Cookies: We may use cookies to improve the Service and the Website as well as to enable you to use certain features. Cookies are small identifiers our web servers send to your device. We may use session cookies or permanent cookies. Your browser might inform you when a server is sending a cookie and might allow you to refuse it. Website-Tracking: We work with the third party econda GmbH to optimize our website and its design to meet your requirements even better. Econda,, gathers, stores and creates user profiles from anonymous data. Econda may use cookies allowing internet browser recognition. Any IP addresses obtained in this manner will immediately be rendered irrecognizable. You may refuse econda to collect data.

Mobile App Tracking: In our mobile app, we use analytics tracking and bug reporting. You can use the settings within your iOS device or within the Android app to opt-out of analytics tracking (Webtrekk) and bug reporting (Bugsense). For the opt-out, you need to open the HiDrive app and open the basic settings tab within. From there you can simply disable analytics and/or bug reporting to stop any analytics data or bug reporting information being sent from the app.

2. How we use Information

We use your information (1) to provide and administer the Service, including payment and billing, (2) to improve the Service and the Website to better respond to your needs, (3) to provide information about the Service to you, (4) to offer updates and upgrades, (5) to provide you with product announcements and promotions. If you don't wish to receive promotional emails, please follow the opt out procedure provided in one of these emails.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We process data exclusively on our own systems. Unless you consent, we do not share your data with or transfer it to any third party. We may disclose data (1) to comply with applicable law or a court order, (2) to enforce the Terms of Service, to prevent fraud and copyright infringements.

HiDrive includes features intended to share files with others. You consent to share your data with others by using these features. The owner of an admin account can change the password of a user account although it remains invisible to him or her. After changing the password the owner of an admin account has access to all data stored on a user account. If you have a normal user account only, you consent to the administrator's ability to look at, modify and delete the data you have stored on the Service after having changed the password.

4. Changing and Deleting Data

We will delete all data stored by you after the termination of the Service. You can change and delete the data you have stored at any time. Accordingly, we will automatically change or delete copies of your data on our backup systems, although with a certain delay. If you would like to modify your personal information or to delete your account, you have to log in to the Service.

5. Security

For us, security comes first and we have developed a multilevel approach to offer highest levels of security and availability to you.

Data centers: Our data centers are certified by the German Technical Control Board according to the ISO 27001 standard, comprising, among others, data mirroring, secret data center locations, an uninterruptible power supply and a lot more.

Ordering: When you provide us with personal information, like your credit card number, you do so through an SSL-(secure socket layer technology) encrypted connection.

Accessing the Service You can access the Service with various devices such as computers, laptops and smartphones. No matter which device you use, you can always choose a secure connection. You are solely responsible to choose a secure connection when uploading or downloading sensitive data to and from the Service.

Encrypted data: You can store encrypted data on the Service. If you want to do so, please encrypt the data before you transfer it to the Service.

6. Policy towards Children

Our Service is not directed to children (persons under the age of 14). If it comes to our knowledge that we have been provided, without parental consent, with personally identifiable information from a child or about a child, we will take efforts to delete such information.
